QUOTE: "Not in the way the humans had, body, mind, and soul. It was a simpler act for the animals. Their fur wore off, their eyes went dull, and the skin and bones caved in to leave not but a corpse in its former master's glory. Even dogs die, as all creatures must. But a dog never does so without first having lived." - Reno in
A Strange Little Creature
Hello everybody! I'm Rane, your Admin here at CC. I've been roleplaying for about 9 years and I greatly enjoy it! Need rp help? A graphic for posting? A character to plot with? I can help you with all of the above and I have 8 fabulous characters you're welcome to meet.
I'd like to remind members to check the Site Announcements thread OFTEN, even if the last post doesn't seem recent. Please post at least once a week and enjoy your time here at Canine Conspiracy! <333
Hello! The name is Promise. As you can tell, I am a global moderator here on CC. I am always up to roleplaying, so don't hesitate to check my plot thread, or to pm me with plot ideas. I am open to any kind of plot idea involving any of my characters or whatever. <3 As you can see from below, I rp quite a few characters. Satan being my favorite. If your characters are ever in need of a pack, Satan is the Alpha of Beruine Pack, and there's plenty of positions available. :3 Like I said, don't be afraid to message me.
Howdy! I'm known around the 'boards as Angel. I am one of your wonderful staff members here, a moderator. I do my best to see things from all angles and views. I try to be very friendly and usually I succeed in doing so, so don't be afraid to chat it up with me. Need someone to roleplay with? Check out my characters. :) I'm always open to new ideas and new buddies to roleplay with. I usually have at least OPEN thread, so look out for those as well. :)
Hiya peeps! I'm Roax, one of your Global Mods! I help around the site with coding and various other tasks. If you need anything, and I mean anything, please do not hesitate to contact me. I'm here to help, and I promise I wont bite you (sorry, unlike the cliche, I really wont bite). You'll see me stalking the cbox so don't be afraid to say hello. Don't be a stranger! Because strangers mean danger!
Happy Roleplaying! Hope to thread with each of you soon :)

Applications (1 sub-board) The character application will be found here. Once a staff member approves, you can begin rping. Must have a account to make a character.
Bus Depot (2 sub-boards) MAELSTROM HEADQUARTERS The Depot is both a fenced-in lot containing an entire fleet of Greyhound buses at the back, and a station from which to travel located in the front. The building has high ceilings and echoes with every paw step and vocalization, with tile floors and modern metal chairs standing in rows across the floor. There are several office rooms down a hallway near the back of the Depot, and a back door leads to the fleet lot. Screens cover one wall entirely, which used to list every arriving and departing bus, but now they are just dark, reflective surfaces.
International Airport (2 sub-boards) BERUINE PACK HEADQUARTERS The once-busy airport has of course become desolate since the humans began to die. Many of them wanted to escape the area in a hope to outrun the virus, but they quickly found that their location didn't matter. Therefore planes remain at their gates, poised for departure, and several are even abandoned on the runway. Inside, many of the shops are closed by pull-down gates, but some are still open for exploring. The food court was cleared by the pack many months ago, leaving the place empty of sustenance. Luggage may be found strewn in different areas of the airport, and you may find a dead electronic or two, hungry for electricity.
Old Barn RYNECK PACK HEADQUARTERS The barn, to put it quite simply, is old. The red paint is curling and peeling off the wood on the outside, and the wood itself is deteriorating due to termites and exposure from the elements. Inside, there is a lot of rotten hay. Rats often scurry about in both it and the rafters. A few stalls lurk on the far side of the barn, and its possible you may find the skeleton of a horse. Tack sits in dust on the racks opposite the stalls, and up above, there is a platform with a few amenities like a couch and tattered rug. The fields around the barn are abundant in prey, but should you hunt here a Ryneck member is likely to spot you. There is always one of them here.
Hwy 1 Highway 1, aka the 101 Freeway, is a stretch of road that used to be sought after by human tourists. It winds its way along the western coast of California with scenic views of the ocean. However, traffic is now absent from the highway, although you're likely to find thousands of abandoned cars along it. The asphalt is often hot after baking in the sun all day, and there is little chance for shade except to the side of a broken-down car. If you want to get anywhere, take the freeway.
Cemetary The cemetery has a naturally spooky vibe to it. The natural environment of the park has become overgrown, causing grass to either partially or fully obscure the headstones lined up throughout, and trees to create more shade than they used to when they were kept trimmed. There is plenty of foliage here that keeps the area cool, and you may even see a stray deer wander through once in a while.
Library The Santa Barbara Public library is an iconic building styled like much of the city. It has a red Spanish-style tiled roof, arched entryways and windows to resemble the Spanish history of the area, and similar stylized decorations. Inside the floors are polished tile and many aisles of books stretch throughout the building. Study tables are available as well as computer stations. Everything has gathered a fine layer of dust.

Old Mansion This large house is made of good 'ol brick and mortar and stands three stories tall. The attic windows at the peak of the building stare outward through dust and grime. It has perhaps 20 rooms between the bedrooms and living areas. They display many different styles but wood floors flow throughout the house, save for bathrooms and the two kitchens. It's backyard is over run with weeds but used to be a pruned garden of roses and other fragrant plants with gravel paths winding between.

Santa Barbara Mission Old Mission Santa Barbara was founded in 1786 and has been an important landmark in the area since then. The grounds include 10 acres and used to be manicured with lush green grass and carefully attended roses but without frequent watering, these icons have become limited. The grass is browning and rose petals pile up in the garden soil. There are guest rooms, conference rooms, a kitchen, gift shop, cemetery and gardens to explore. Admire the view of the art and mountains in the distance.
Amtrak used to be an affordable and enjoyable train experience for the humans. It ran mainly along the coast, offering pretty views of beaches and the ocean. This station is located on State Street, and consists of a large parking lot with a few dozen cars remaining, the lounge for waiting for the train, ticket counter, and self-serve ticket dispensers. There are monitors inside that are now black, and you're likely to find a lot of tickets strewn on the floor by frustrated humans who couldn't get away from the city by train. The track is located up two flights of stairs on the outside, and the track leads away from the station to who knows where? Follow it and you may come across an idle train.
Stearns Wharf This marina was a popular destination, complete with a variety of tasty restaurants, a popular beach and an extensive boardwalk that juts far out into the sea. The beach is always a peaceful place to be, but it doesn't serve many purposes, for you won't find much prey here unless you come across a crab or know how to fish! The boardwalk offers a pretty view of the sunset, although you should watch your footing for loose and rotting wood. Boats of all kinds float lazily in the water of the marina, and you may be able to board some of them that are tethered to the docks.
